Last year, Pittsburgh's Rivers Casino, which opened in 2009, put itself on the poker map when Phil Hellmuth topped a field of 254 entrants to win the Pittsburgh Poker Open Main Event for $54,000. That tournament was a part of a larger Poker Night in America (PNIA) festival, which will return to the venue for a third time from November 5-23, 2015.

Event 17 is the second big, multi-day tournament on the Pittsburgh Poker Open Spring Series schedule and the Leaderboard is starting to take shape. The Event 2 ‘Deep Stack' Day 2 restart isn't the only event running in the Rivers Poker Room today, as a new event to the schedule begins at 1 PM. That is the Event 8 '30 BB Battle', an event that is making it's Pittsburgh Poker Open debut today.
The latest iteration of the Pittsburgh Poker Open will run for 23 days, culminating with the $1,000 Main Event – which will feature a $100,000 guarantee and two starting flights — from November 20-23. Hellmuth is already confirmed to attend.
What's more, three days prior to the tournament finale an invite-only high-stakes poker cash game will be recorded for TV. Among those confirmed to play are Shaun Deeb, David Eldridge, Matt Glantz, Jennifer Harman, Phil Laak, Dennis Phillips, Mark 'Pegasus' Smith, Jack Schanbacher, Tom Schneider, Jennifer Tilly, and of course Hellmuth.

That's because PNIA will host three onsite $1,000 buy-in single-table satellites at Noon on November 20-22. Each satellite winner will receive a seat and $10,000 buy-in into the big game.
Finally, poker fans will be able to enjoy the Pittsburgh Poker Open as three days of cash games, plus one added day which includes the championship finale, will be live-streamed daily on Twitch with hole cards shown and commentary provided by David Tuchman.
